A Hall effect sensor is a transducer that detects the presence of a magnetic field.

Based on the Hall effect, which is the creation of a voltage difference (Hall voltage) across an electrical conductor when subjected to a magnetic field perpendicular to the current flow.

Sensor contains a small semiconductor element known as a Hall plate or Hall element.

When a magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the Hall plate, it generates a Hall voltage across the plate due to the Hall effect.

Hall voltage created across the Hall plate is directly proportional to the strength of the magnetic field applied.

3144 Hall Effect Sensor:

• 3144 Hall effect sensor is a digital Hall sensor commonly used for detecting the presence of a magnetic field.
• Provides a digital output signal, meaning it outputs a logic HIGH or LOW depending on the presence or absence of a magnetic field.
• When a magnetic field is brought close to the sensor, it triggers the Hall effect within the sensor, causing it to produce an output signal.
